Israel was full of bad news and worse news in Isaiah's day. Empires were rising and falling. Government officials were corrupt. The people rejected God's moral standards and pursued their own pleasures.
Just like today.
Isaiah's message to the believers focused on their ultimate salvation - found in The LORD. They needed to keep their eyes on heaven and refuse to buy into this world's empty promises.
